The Window

You start by specifying the title-text as a "titel" and the author-text as the "author". You can view the LaTeX-code created by the program if you choose View -> View Source.

When using LyX you cannot alter the code in the code-window, it is created by LyX.

After defining the title and the author, the command \maketitle produces following output, which can be viewed by clicking the "View PDF"-icon.

You decide the content, LaTeX creates the layout.
